Magento2 Integration Guide

This tutorial shows how to integrate Prerender with your Magento2 webshop to improve SEO and make it easier for customers to find products. Prerender enables search engines to crawl and index fully loaded HTML pages, even for dynamic applications.

 

📝 Note: This guide uses Magento 2’s built-in PWA settings and Prerender.io rendering service. No additional middleware is needed.

Prerender token 
The location of the Prerender token has changed. You can find it under the Security and Access menu under Prerender Token.

 

Text guide:

1. Open your Magento2 admin dashboard

2. Click on STORESClick stores menu in Magento dashboard

3. Click on ConfigurationClick the Configuration button in the Stores menu

4. Click on Web

Click the "Web" menu in the Configuration menu

 

5. Access the UPWARD PWA Configuration settingsAccess the UPWARD PWA configuration menu

6. Make sure to check the Use system value boxMake sure to have the system default checkbox checked in the UPWARD PWA configuration menu

7. Select Yes from Enable Prerender For Search BotsSelect " yes in the Prerender for search bots dropdown list

8. At Prerender URL add https://service.prerender.io/At the Prerender URL section, add https://service.prerender.io/

9. Add your Prerender.io Token from the Security and Access menu.Find your Prerender token on the Prerender dashboard and add it to the Prerender.io Token section to use the Prerender.io service.

10. Copy and paste the following text into the designated area labeled "Crawler User Agents."Paste the crawler list into the crawler User Agents section in the UPWARD PWA config.

11. Copy and paste the text into the designated "Blocked List"Paste the list of blocked extensions into the Blocked List section of your UPWARD PWA config so that static asset URLs are not served by Prerender

12. Click on Save Config at the top right.Click the Save button at the top right of your UPWARD PWA config menu to save the changes and integrate Prerender with your Magento storefront.

 


 

Verify Your Installation

Is the Prerender integration working on other pages?

Test if the Prerender integration works on the other pages based on this guide: Verify the integration

If you don't see the Prerender headers / IDs, then the Integration is not working, which might be why the other URL is not cached
