Subscription Plan History

Understand current, retired, and legacy subscription plans, including how transitions affect your account.

Overview

Prerender offers multiple subscription plans tailored to different usage levels and business needs. Over time, some plans are retired or replaced to better align with customer demands and infrastructure upgrades. This article outlines the lifecycle of Prerender’s plans—what’s currently available, what’s been retired, and what that means for your account.

Understanding your plan status helps you manage costs and ensure uninterrupted service, especially as plan changes can impact rendering limits, recache behavior, or feature access.

Plan Lifecycle Definitions

  • Available: The plan is open for new subscriptions.

  • Retired: The plan has been discontinued for all customers. Accounts are automatically migrated to a similar plan based on usage.

  • Not Offered Anymore: The plan is no longer available for new sign-ups, but existing subscribers can keep using it.

How Plan Retirement Works

  • If your plan is retired, your account will be automatically upgraded to the most affordable available plan that matches your average usage over the past 30 days.

  • Prerender provides advance email notification before retiring a plan.

  • When we no longer offer a subscription plan, we wait for six months to a year before retiring it.
  • A “Retired” badge will appear next to the plan name in your dashboard for ongoing visibility.

Example:

If your Startup (2021) plan is retired and your monthly usage fits the Startup (2023) profile, you'll be moved to that plan.

How to Check Your Plan Status

  1. Log in to your Prerender Dashboard

  2. Click on “Billing” in the left-hand sidebar. Navigate to your current plan details.

  3. Check Plan Name and Status. If your plan is retired, it will be labeled with a "Retired" badge.
