Subscription plan history
A reference for current, retired, and legacy Prerender.io plans, and what plan retirement means for your account.
TL;DR
Prerender.io has offered several subscription plans over time. If your plan is retired, Prerender automatically moves your account to the most affordable available plan that matches your usage over the previous 30 days, with advance email notice before any change takes effect.
Plan status definitions
Every Prerender.io plan falls into one of two statuses:
- Available. The plan is open for new subscriptions.
- Retired. The plan has been discontinued for all customers. Accounts are automatically migrated to a comparable available plan based on usage.

How plan retirement works
When Prerender.io retires a plan, your account is not left without a subscription. Here is what to expect:
- Prerender.io sends advance email notification before retiring any plan.
- When retirement takes effect, your account is automatically moved to the most affordable available plan based on your average rendering usage over the previous 30 days.
Example: if the Scaleup (2023) plan is retired and your monthly usage fits within the Pro plan (2025) limits, Prerender.io moves your account to that plan.
If the automatically selected plan is not the right fit, you can switch to a different plan at any time from your Prerender.io dashboard. See Changing your Prerender.io plan for instructions.
How to check your current plan
- Log in to your Prerender.io dashboard.
- Click Billing in the left-hand sidebar.
- Click Subscription Plans section.
- Review the plan name and status.

Common questions
What if I do not want the plan I have been moved to? You can downgrade or switch to a different plan from your Prerender.io dashboard. See How to downgrade or cancel your plan for the steps.
How will I know if my plan is changing? Prerender.io sends an email notification before any plan retirement takes effect. The change is also labeled clearly in your account.
Why does Prerender.io retire plans? Older plans are phased out to simplify plan management, improve service, and align with current infrastructure.
