What Should I do if I Reach My Render Limit?
Avoid unexpected overage charges by upgrading to a higher plan or managing your render usage.
Overview
If you’ve reached your render limit, your existing cached pages will keep serving normally, and Prerender will continue rendering but you may exceed your plan’s included renders which causes overages.
Note: Exceeding your render limit doesn't stop bots from indexing existing cached pages.
To stay in control, you’ve got two clear options:
1. Upgrade Your Plan
If you have large number of urls, it means your site consistently needs more renders, upgrading ensures full coverage without worrying about overages.
2. Reduce Your Render Usage
If you prefer to stay on your current plan - a few quick adjustments can significantly lower unnecessary renders.
What Drives your Render Usage
Render usage often increases due to:
-
On-demand renders: When bots request pages that aren’t cached yet.
-
Automatic recaching: Cached pages that recached based on your cache expiration settings. The more often a page recaches, the faster your render usage climbs.
You can find more details about how renders are calculated and the factors affecting your render limit here.
