Get started with Nexus, your AI integration assistant

Set up your Prerender.io integration faster with guided, stack-specific help inside your dashboard.

TL;DR

Nexus, your AI integration assistant, is built into your Prerender.io dashboard to help you configure, verify, and troubleshoot your integration. Ask it questions, describe your tech stack, or upload a screenshot and it guides you through step by step. Nexus is designed to reduce setup time by guiding you through stack-specific steps.

Why Nexus?

Integrating Prerender.io looks different depending on your stack. Cloudflare, NGINX, Next.js, Lovable, and dozens of other platforms all have their own setup path.

Nexus removes the guesswork. Instead of reading through multiple integration guides to find the right one, you describe your setup and Nexus points you in the right direction. If something goes wrong, it troubleshoots inline.

ℹ️ Nexus is optional. You can always follow the manual steps in Your first steps with Prerender.io instead.

Step 1: log in to your Prerender.io dashboard.

If you do not already have an account, sign up for free. Once logged in, open your Prerender.io dashboard.

Step 2: open Nexus.

Look for the Nexus widget in the integration flow inside your Prerender.io dashboard. Click it to start a conversation.

Step 3: describe your tech stack.

Tell Nexus what platform or framework your website runs on. For example: "I'm using Cloudflare in front of a Next.js site." Nexus will recommend the right integration path and walk you through the exact steps for your stack.

You can also:

  • Ask questions as you go. "What does this token do?", "Why is my integration not being detected?", "Which cache expiration setting should I use?" Nexus gives context-aware answers based on your setup.
  • Upload a screenshot. Share a screenshot of your dashboard, configuration file, or error message. Nexus identifies what is wrong and suggests what to fix.
  • Get a summary if you get stuck. Nexus generates a summary of what you tried, what worked, and where you stopped. You can share this with Prerender.io support or your engineering team.

Step 4: verify your integration is working.

Once Nexus has guided you through your integration, confirm it is working.

  1. Go to your Prerender.io dashboard and check the integration status indicator.
  2. Follow the verification guide to simulate a bot visit and confirm Prerender.io is serving rendered HTML.

✅ Your integration is working when a simulated bot request returns an x-prerender-request-id response header, confirming Prerender.io is serving rendered HTML to crawlers.

If verification fails, ask Nexus to help troubleshoot, or follow the troubleshooting guide for integration detection errors.

What Nexus does not do

Nexus focuses on integration guidance only. Keep these limitations in mind:

  • For billing, plan changes, or account questions, contact support@prerender.io
  • Nexus currently supports English only.
  • Nexus does not make changes to your account or configuration on your behalf. It guides you, and you act.

A note on data privacy

OpenAI does not use API data to train its models. Prerender.io has also enabled OpenAI's Zero Data Retention (ZDR) option, which means your messages and screenshots are not retained in OpenAI's systems beyond immediate processing. Prerender.io stores traces in LangSmith for operational monitoring and quality improvement only.
