Domain Manager
Use the Domain Manager to monitor, verify, and manage all domains connected to your Prerender.io account.
Summary/Overview
The Domain Manager is a feature in the Prerender.io Dashboard that provides a central view of all your connected domains. It shows how many URLs are cached per domain and helps you keep track of your domains.
This tool helps you monitor cache activity at the domain level, verify integrations, and easily add or remove domains when needed. Cached data and metrics are synced every 24 hours to keep your list accurate.
Detailed Explanation / How It Works
What Information You’ll See
Each domain entry in the Domain Manager includes:
- Domain URL – The root domain being tracked or cached
- URLs – Number of individual URLs cached
- Integration Status – Whether the domain is currently verified and connected
- Created On – Date the domain was added
Data Synchronization
Metrics for cached URLs are updated once every 24 hours. If no URLs are detected and no updates have occurred for more than two days, you can remove the domain manually.
Step-by-Step Usage
Adding a Domain
- Navigate to the Domain Manager in the Prerender Dashboard.
- Click the Add Domain button above the table.
- Enter your domain URL (e.g.,
https://example.com
) in the input field. - Click Add.
- Once added, Prerender will automatically check and verify the integration status.
Deleting a Domain
- In the Domain Manager, locate the domain you'd like to delete.
- Click the trash can icon in the Actions column.
- Confirm your decision in the confirmation modal.
- This will remove the domain from your account and delete all associated URLs from the cache.
Note: Deleting cached URLs may take time depending on how many URLs are associated with the domain.
Common Pitfalls / Tips
- Only remove a domain after confirming it no longer needs to be cached—for example, if it’s a test environment or decommissioned project.
- Domains without any cached URLs for over 48 hours can be safely removed to reduce clutter.
- Make sure the domains you add are actively serving prerendered content; otherwise, integration issues will be flagged.
