Encountering 404 errors can disrupt user experience and negatively impact SEO performance. To address these issues proactively, Prerender allows you to generate a detailed report of all 404 errors from the past XX days. This report helps identify broken links or misconfigurations on your site.
Possible Causes/Scenarios
- Outdated URLs: Pages removed or moved without proper redirects.
- Configuration Issues: Incorrect routing rules or bot misinterpretations.
- External Links: Broken links from external sources leading to non-existent pages.
Step-by-step guide how to export 404s:
- Access the 404 Report:
- Log in to your Prerender dashboard.
- Navigate to CDN Analytics.
- Filter the status codes for "404"

- Click the funnel icon.
- Type 404 > OK
- Select the Time Frame:
- Choose the desired number of days (e.g., past 24 hours, 7, or 30 days).

- Generate the Report:
- Click the "Export" button.
- Wait for the system to process and compile the data
- The report will be automatically sent to your email as a CSV file.
- You can click the link or copy and paste it on your browser.
When to Contact Support:
