How do I connect Google Search Console to Prerender.io?

Connecting Google Search Console (GSC) to Prerender.io lets Prerender.io pull your sitemaps automatically and pre-render pages before Googlebot arrives. Setup takes only a few steps: open your Prerender.io dashboard, connect your Google account, and confirm your sitemaps are syncing.

Why connect Google Search Console?

Googlebot crawls the pages listed in your sitemaps. If a page is not cached when Googlebot arrives, Prerender.io has to render it on demand. That is slower than serving a cached page, and it counts as a cache miss.

Connecting GSC gives Prerender.io visibility into the pages Google plans to crawl. Prerender can then proactively render and cache those pages, so Googlebot always gets a fast, pre-rendered response.

Step 1: open your Prerender.io dashboard and go to the Google Search Console section.

In your Prerender.io dashboard, click Google Search Console in the left navigation. Then click Connect Search Console in the top-right corner.

Step 2: sign in with the Google account associated with your domain.

Select the Google account that has access to your domain's GSC property. Grant the required permissions, then click Continue.

Prerender.io will begin syncing your sitemaps from GSC.

Step 3: verify your sitemaps are syncing.

After connecting, your sitemaps appear in the Google Search Console section of your Prerender.io dashboard. From here, you can view sitemap details or start importing pages directly from your sitemaps for proactive caching.
