How do I invite colleagues to my Prerender.io account?
Send invitations to teammates from Security and Access in your Prerender.io dashboard and assign each one a role.

Overview
Inviting team members lets you delegate tasks and share visibility into your Prerender.io account without sharing one set of credentials. Common use cases include onboarding new developers or SEO specialists, granting billing access to a finance team member, or adjusting an existing member's role as their responsibilities change.
Each invitee is assigned a role that determines what they can see and change inside the dashboard. For the full role matrix and what each role can and cannot do, see Team accounts and user roles.
How to invite a colleague
Step 1: log in to your Prerender.io dashboard.
Open prerender.io and sign in to the account you want to add the colleague to. You will need owner or admin access to send invitations.
Step 2: open Security and Access > Team Members.
From the dashboard's left navigation, go to Security and Access and open the Team Members section.

Step 3: fill in the invitee's details and pick a role.
Enter the invitee's full name and email address. Select the role that matches their responsibilities (Super Admin, Admin, Billing Manager, Team Member, or Guest). Only the role types your current role is allowed to invite will appear in the dropdown.
Step 4: send the invitation.
Click Submit. The invitee will receive an email with a link to accept and join your account.
✅ The invitation is sent when the new member appears under Pending Invites on the Team Members screen. Once they accept, their status changes to active.
Tracking and managing pending invitations
On the Team Members screen, pending invitations appear separately from active members. From there you can:
- See which invitations are still pending acceptance.
- Resend an invitation if the original expired or got lost.
- Adjust a member's role from the gear icon once they accept.
- Remove a member from your account if they no longer need access (account owner or admin only).
📝 Invitation expiry: the invite link expires 12 hours after it is sent. If your colleague misses that window, resend the invite from the same screen.
If the colleague's email is already registered
You can only invite an email address that is not already attached to another Prerender.io account. If you try to invite someone whose email is already in use, you will see a message like the one below.

Contact support@prerender.io if you need this resolved. Our team can move the existing account under your main account if appropriate.
📝 Moving an existing account under another revokes access from the previous account. Make sure the colleague is aware before requesting the move.
Tips for healthy team management
- Review team permissions periodically. Check that each member still has the role that matches their current responsibilities.
- Remove inactive members. Cleaning up the Team Members list reduces the risk of stale access.
- Pick the least-privilege role. Use Team Member or Guest where Admin is not strictly needed. The full role matrix is in Team accounts and user roles.
Get support
Contact our support team if:
- You can't send or receive team invitations.
- You get an error while adjusting roles or permissions.
- You see the "user already exists" message and need help merging the colleague's existing account into yours.
