How to cache specific URLs
This guide explains how to cache URLs using the Prerender dashboard's Cache Manager (up to 100 URLs) or the /recache API (up to 1000 URLs), with options to specify Desktop, Mobile, or both device versions.
The easiest method is to add the URL from the Prerender dashboard to the cache. You can also choose to cache the page for either Desktop, Mobile, or both devices.
- In the Cache Manager menu, click the 'Add URLs' button in the top-right corner.
- Paste the URL you want to cache into the pop-up panel.
- Click 'Add' at the top-right and choose the device type for rendering the page.
This method allows you to cache up to 100 URLs, each on a new line.
You can also use the /recache
API endpoint to cache URLs, where you can specify whether to cache the mobile or desktop version of a page. This endpoint supports up to 1000 URLs, compared to the 100 URL limit in the dashboard.
